Patricia Riggs is a citizen of the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (YDSP). Ms. Riggs received her Masters’ of Business Administration in Management from the University of Texas at El Paso. She has served as the YDSP Economic Development Director, YDSP Court Administrator and Planned Parenthood of El Paso Program Developer. Ms. Riggs’ professional accomplishments include: establishment or development of community infrastructure, departments, programs, tribal court system, research, strategic plans, evaluation, community curriculum, and policy writing. Under her direction the YDSP Economic Development Department earned the 2010 “Honoring Nations.” As a Native American consultant she has presented at numerous national native conferences and provides technical assistance to Native communities. Ms. Riggs’ passion lies in the advancement and self-determination of indigenous nations and she has served on national Native focused committees. Foremost, she is dedicated to partaking in YDSP’s cultural and traditional observances.
